if you haven't noticed, i can't get away from the nude colors... and whites...

nail art
there have been a few local deals going around for nail salons. i'm always so tempted to buy them, but can't always justify paying that much for something i can do myself!
as for nail art? that's a different story. i'm not sure i could take the time or if i even have the talent (left hand painting right hand nails?? yikes...) to even create something this cool.
and how about zooey's nails at the golden globes? so cute!
PS- did any of you have this Klutz Press book for Nail Art when you were say... 10 or so?
have you tried nail art yet? i'd love to see some pictures!

geek chic
i've been having some fun lately wearing my readers and revamping my look into 'geek chic'.
hair in a high bun, a little lipstick, and my nerd glasses are my new go-to!
how are you styling your 'geek chic' look?

Now & Then: Headscarves
round two for now & then!
a trend that's been catching my eye for the past year is headscarves. although headwear is not something i can always pull off, i always respect anyone who makes a bold move to wear a headscarf! i usually get the hankering to try one out after watching old movies- especially of the audrey hepburn nature.

Magazine Monday: Lucky Jan. 2012
Happy Magazine Monday! If you know me, you will know that I subscribe to way too many magazines! I love flipping through the pages and picking out my favorite looks! Here are some of my favorites from the Lucky Magazine January 2012 issue.
(left) this red top is a great variation to the tie-neck trend- adding ruffles gives it that unique touch. the "hold my hand" dress is a style that i usually gravitate towards. any navy blue dress with a cute print is a winner in my closet! (right) black patent leather oxfords paired with tailored white pants and a lightweight printed top is a great look to transition from winter to spring.
here's a nod to colorful lace! how pretty is this belted lace dress with red buckle flats. i love the sheer shirt trend and this one is a great variation with the black polka-dots.
how gorgeous is this lace cutout sweater?! might be fun to add a pop of color with a red or blue cami underneath.

Film Friday: Water for Elephants
happy film friday!
the 1930s circus theme was very inspirational in the film water for elephants- although i'm not all about watching cheating movies, i was able to focus on how beautiful the cinematography and wardrobe was!
