has a film ever inspired you to travel? i've had the travel bug lately and watching the film 'for lovers only' really made me want to buy a plane ticket and take off to a new place! the film was one of the most beautifully shot films i have seen- all in black and white with beautiful framing and scenery! i would love to take stills from this film and hang them around my house... gorgeous! here are a few shots:

which movies have inspired you to travel?

moonrise kingdom

wes anderson has been pretty quiet since fantastic mr. fox, but he's coming back with moonrise kingdom. his past film, the royal tenenbaums, is one of my favorite movies and this one looks like it could rank just as high. the characters, imagery, and cinematography are so artistic and whimsical... without further ado- you must watch!

i've been wanting to see My Week with Marilyn for a long time now! i was thrilled to see it at my local redbox (we have one right across the street from us!)! it was pretty good- michelle williams did a great job and i really liked eddie redmayne (where did he come from?)!

Now & Then: Bikes

i know you've seen this movie.

riding bikes with my radio cranked and strapped to the handlebars was one of my favorite things to do when i was a kid.

anyways! i would like to introduce a new segment called "Now & Then" featuring fun things from the past that translate to the present!
