there has not been a cloud in the sky as of late- heck, it's even been in the 100s here lately! you know what that means, you need your sunglasses at all times. so many styles from back in the day are coming back around- and you can't ever go wrong with a classic rayban. here are more styles from then:
as you may know, i made a fun skirt out of a little boys' anchor print fabric in sewing class...
so, now i cannot get enough of them! rings, prints, design, and... tattoos! (gasp!) well i don't have any yet, but some of these anchor tats are pretty cute....
i've been inspired by some great summertime treats lately! c'mon, the second you heard that music from the ice cream man when you were little, you knew that was your cue to run out into the street with the dollar allowance you'd saved up from the week! anyways, i've decided to start a little series of outfits inspired by summer treats. this week, it's sorbet! mmmm!
happy magazine monday- this time we've got blake lively on the cover of marie claire in a great double breasted red blazer. (remind you of modern family anyone?)
...and then there was a bonus! a cute little nail art booklet with some fun ideas. of course the polka dots would be my fave ;)
usually anything that flares at the hip is not that flattering, but take a great tailored peplum look, and you can break all the stereotypes. here's my fun and flirty peplum inspiration:
as you know, this past weekend i was out on the east coast! it was such a fun time but the weather was a little chilly. i definitely took a nap on the beach in a long sleeve shirt and shorts. incredible... here's my laying in a hammock while reading a good book look. :)
So I've been awesome at posting every weekday this entire year and I would hate to break my streak... But I'll need a vacation day today since I'm just getting back from our anniversary trip!
is it christmas yet? i seriously cannot WAIT to see this movie! and as we all know, i love carey mulligan... the costumes and cinematography in this film look incredible!
i'm so excited that i've got some new reading material...
yes- i never had to read this in high school or college! how did i escape that? i may have to go on a classic novel kick and pick up everything i missed back in the day (or pick it back up so i will appreciate it more!).
